Itinerary:
Experience
the pulsating heart of South Australia as Adelaide's culture, arts,
food and wine draw you in on this tour through the city's highlights.
Pin-pointing the centre of the city, the trip begins in Victoria Square.
Jump on a local tram and head down to Rundle Mall - the famous
chocolate frogs lovingly produced by Haigh's chocolate shop await.
Take your treats down to Beehive Corner and admire some of Adelaide's
19th Century architecture. Meet the resident bronze pigs - Truffles,
Horatio, Oliver and Augusta, and admire Bert Flugelman's Sphere's -
nicknamed 'The Malls Balls'. Hold onto the chocolate-fuelled sugar rush
as the tour continues down to North Terrace, considered to be Adelaide's
Cultural Boulevard.
Learn about the heritage of the city as we pass the University of
Adelaide, the Art Gallery of South Australia and Parliament House.
Step inside the South Australian Museum, where the world's largest
collection of Aboriginal artifacts is on display. Meander through
tranquil Elder Park, where the shores of Torrens Lake provide the
perfect backdrop for a relaxing stroll. End this elegant Adelaide affair
with a jaunt to the Adelaide Central Markets, before winding down and
refueling at 'Eat Street' - Adelaide's Gouger Street.
