About Us - Adventures Beyond

Adventures Beyond Group is a multi award winning business operating a range of brands in the tourism industry.

Adventures Beyond operate out of Adelaide, on the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in South Australia.  Adventures Beyond commenced as Surf & Sun in 2001 after the Managing Director saw an opportunity to opperate new and untried adventure tourism activities in South Australia including Learn to Surf South Australia and Overnight Camel Safaris.

Over the years the business changed and expanded, the camel safaris were swapped with Sea Kayak adventures and in 2003 the Surf & Sun Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventures were introduced.  Over the following years we introduced other brands apart from Surf & Sun, including a corporate team building business in South Australia called Beyond the Boardroom, a Bushwalking brand called Hike the Heysen as well as more recently a group charter brand called Adventures Beyond Group Charters.  The most recent addition to our business is an Adelaide day tour company called Intrepid Urban Adventures Adelaide - or Adelaide Walking Tours.

Adventures Beyond still operates and promotes Surf & Sun - Learn to Surf South Australia, South Australia's leading surf school.

Adventure Days and Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventures from Adelaide, South Australia. Over the years customers often enquired about other tours throughout Australia and whether Surf & Sun offered these tours. Surf & Sun Kangaroo Island – now renamed as Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventures positioned itself as an expert in Kangaroo Island and thought rather than expand to new areas it made more sense to work with other independent Australian owned adventure companies that were also experts in their respective areas.

In 2010 Adventures Beyond was launched with the concept of bringing likeminded, Australian owned and independent tour operators together. Adventures Beyond has now created some of the best award winning adventure packages available between Melbourne to Adelaide, Alice Springs and Perth.
