Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road offers some of the best coastal scenery Australia has to offer.  The road is Australian National Heritage listed and on the South Eastern coast of Australia and covers some 243-kilometres (151 miles).

The Great Ocean Road joins the Victorian towns of Torquay and Warnambool and was built from  1919 to 1932 by returned soldiers and is the world's largest war memorial dedicated to World War 1 casualties.

The Great Ocean Road is an important tourism attraction in the region and most tours are 1 day from Melbourne however the best way to see the Great Ocean Road is on a Melbourne to Adelaide or Adelaide to Melbourne 3 day tour which also includes the Grampians.

Some important landmarks including the 12 apostles, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge are some of the magnificant sights.

The Great Ocean Road showcases towns including Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay, Port Campbell as well as the historic town of Torquay, also the home of famous surf brands Ripcurl and Billabong to name a few.
