2 Big Reasons We’re Talking About Corroboree Europe 2015
Adelaide will be the host city for Corroboree Europe from 26 April – 29 April 2015, with training workshops followed by destination famils.
Corroboree Europe is significant to us because it will be a major familiarisation event for 300 United Kingdom and European-based travel agents who will experience Adelaide and South Australia first hand.
Adventures Beyond are proud to operate award-winning tours in Adelaide that combine key experiences such as culture, nature, food and wine discovery, and city and coastal lifestyles.
If you’re attending this event, we have some curated some key selling points for two major tourist locations – Adelaide and Kangaroo Island – so you can enjoy the attractions and activities that make this region so special and use your expert knowledge to sell Australian destinations like Kangaroo Island adventure tours with confidence.
1. Adelaide’s key selling points
Adelaide Convention Centre
The event venue with its enviable riverside location has world-class facilities. You’ll be bowled over by the Business Centre, Plenary Hall conference and exhibition space, serviced meeting rooms and high-specification event technology.
Easy to get around
Many tourist attractions are within walking distance of the CBD including the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, National Aboriginal Cultural Institute (Tandanya) and Adelaide Zoo.
Adelaide enjoys a climate similar to the Mediterranean – warm, dry summers and mild winters with occasional rainfall. It is Australia’s driest capital city, and therefore you have year-round access to many attractions.
Outstanding food and wine
Adelaide is brimming with cafés, bars and restaurants that will keep any gastronomic appetite fuelled. Stop by the Adelaide Central Market for fresh Australian fruit and vegetables, sip South Australian wines at the National Wine Centre, or reserve a table for dinner at an eatery on Gouger Street.
Free Wifi in the CBD
Stay connected with free Wifi hotspots in the CBD and North Adelaide courtesy of Internode. The hotspots are situated in many popular areas like Adelaide Airport, Rundle Mall, and the South Australia State Library. 2. Kangaroo Island’s key selling points
It’s not just Adelaide that will capture your heart when you visit Australia, a few hours away you’ll find one of Australia’s must-see destinations – Kangaroo Island.
Owing to its isolation from the mainland, come here to see the unique, rare and protected wildlife (koalas, kangaroos, Australian sea lions, penguins) in their natural environments. You may even spot migrating whales depending on the season!
Kangaroo Island’s plant catalogue lists 891 species of native plants with 46 of those endemic to Kangaroo Island. You can spot blossoming wildflowers, smell the distinctive eucalyptus and enjoy the hues of the seasonal native orchids.
Artisan food and wine products
The monopoly for good food doesn’t just stay on the mainland – Kangaroo Island is home to some excellent artisan food and wine producers. Taste organic Ligurian honey, native jams, free-range eggs, seasonal seafood and varietal wines.
Hiking and walks
The island has a multitude of terrain and National Parks that are criss-crossed with hiking trails and gentle walks that cater for all levels of fitness.
Adventures Beyond are experts at keeping those tourists who can’t sit still happy! Try sandboarding, or quad biking. The island is home to some of the best beaches in Australia where you can swim, snorkel, fish or dive.
