Unique Australian Destinations We Visit

Visiting Australia is a melting pot of landscapes and history that is unbeaten in the world.  From unspoiled scenery in Tasmania, to indigenous rock art of the Top End, to the stunning beaches of the east coast and vineyards of the southern states you’ll be left with lasting memories from some unique Australia tours and destinations that we visit.

Adventures Beyond has a broad range of tour lengths and pricing departing from many Australian locations including Adelaide, Alice Springs, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Cairns, Darwin, Broome, Brisbane and Tasmania.

We highlight some best places in Australian that you should visit on some of our tours:

Litchfield National Park

Situated one and a half hours south of Darwin, Litchfield National Park is a spectacular area sprinkled with waterfalls, termite mounds, water holes and the ‘Lost City’ (sandstone blocks and pillars).

Adventures Beyond can take you to this amazing area of natural beauty as part of a 1-Day Litchfield National Park tour if you have limited time, or on a 3 Day Kakadu and Litchfield Tour.

Daly Waters

Daly Waters is an Australian town with huge significance to the country.

The town was the last watering hole before drovers moved their herds across the country, and it was the location of the first international airport in Australia prior to World War II when planes and passengers enroute to London stopped for a break.  The famous Daly Waters pub is a great Aussie experience with cold beer, pub food and décor of various memorabilia from global visitors including business cards and tshirts.

If you would like to visit this unique town and the pub, join our Alice Springs to Darwin tour, or Adelaide to Perth Nullabor Adventure.

Watarrka (Kings Canyon)

Kings Canyon is one of the main attractions of the Mereenie Loop, with highlights including trails such as the Kings Canyon Rim Walk along canyon edges to sandstone outcrops and isolated water holes.

Imagine walking beneath towering cliffs to lush pockets of vegetation hidden on the canyon floor – if this inspires you, book yourself on a 3 Day Ayers Rock 4WD Safari Tour, or our 6 Day Adelaide to Alice Springs itinerary (also available in reverse).

Freycinet National Park

Located on the east coast of Tasmania, the park is home to white sandy beaches, granite peaks and the turquoise waters of Wineglass Bay.

It’s a great place to get close to wildlife without the tourist crowds on mainland Australia, bushwalk or sample local wine or seafood.

Book via Adventures Beyond today – we offer a 4 Day East Coast Tasmania Tour so you can grab your own piece of Tasmanian solitude.

Coffs Coast

This stunning region on the east coast of Australia is peppered with coastal towns with al fresco dining, walking tracks in forested National Parks and excellent beaches for water sports.  Whether you have a yearning to try surfing or prefer to discover coastal towns at a casual pace, join our 6 Day Sydney to Brisbane Safari to explore this exciting region.

Blue Mountains

Bordering Sydney’s greater city area, the Blue Mountains are found 50 kilometres west of Sydney and are one of Australia’s most well-known attractions.

The area has rare plants and animals, many walking trails and amazing views from lookouts over waterfalls, eucalypt forests and rock formations such as the iconic Three  Sisters.

If you have a snippet of time you can still enjoy this area by joining our 2 Day Melbourne to Sydney Tour. Travelers with more time on their hands are recommended to reserve a seat on our comprehensive 16 Day Sydney to Cairns Safari.

Ningaloo Reef

The Ningaloo Coast is a World Heritage-listed region spanning along the northwestern coast of Western Australia with the magnificent Ningaloo Reef home to hundreds of marine animals and coral species.

The drive to the coast is outstanding and you’ll bypass red rock canyons until you meet the coast and can start snorkelling in the crystal-clear turquoise waters.

The Ningaloo Reef is a special place to visit at any time of the year – rare turtles hatch late January-February, whale sharks visit between March and June, winter months see manta rays and dolphins drop by on their migratory routes, and if you visit between June and November you’ll marvel at the sight of humpback whales.

Head to the Ningaloo Reef as part of our 5 Day Perth to Exmouth Tour, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
